In this culinary voyage, centuries-old traditions meet refined artistry, as ancestral recipes are reimagined into dishes of timeless elegance, all within the walls of an Edwardian Grade II-listed fire station, famed for its role in saving Westminster Abbey during the Blitz of 1941.

The Edwardian grandeur endures in every detail, the stately carriage doors, the lustrous glazed tiles, the original fireman’s pole and the storied Watch Room where Churchill is said to have rung the bell. Here, history is not merely preserved, it is savoured.

Saving Westminster Abbey
In 1941, as the Blitz turned London’s night sky into a blaze of fire and ash, the phone rang inside the Watch Room of Westminster Fire Station. On the crackly line was Winston Churchill himself, his words urgent and unwavering: “Save the Abbey, whatever the cost.” Within moments, engines roared into the chaos, their headlights cutting through smoke as bombs rained down. Through searing heat and collapsing streets, the crew battled to protect Westminster Abbey, shielding a beacon of hope and faith from the flames of war. Today, within these very walls, where history was forged in bravery and the air once crackled with urgency, you can dine in elegance, surrounded by echoes of a night that helped define a nation’s spirit.
